Library Champions: Requesting library items via your Library Champion

This guide provides an overview of the Library Champions scheme and includes support materials for current Library Champions.

Each Library Champion has access to a budget that they can use to order:

  • New library resources (books, DVDs etc.) to support their subject area
  • Extra copies of existing items

The Library Champions budget can be used to place orders for students studying on taught courses only

Find your Library Champion here

Not on a taught course?

If you are a PGR student:  You can request books using the Student Book Suggestion Scheme

If you are a member of staff: Please contact your Library Liaison Officer to request items

You can also request items via the Student Books suggestion scheme. This is open to all students.

How to find out when your book is available

  • Check Library Search to see if the book has been purchased as an ebook
  • Check your Library Record (Exeter students) (Cornwall students) to see if the item has been purchased as a print copy . If so, a library reservation will be placed for you and you will receive an email notification when the item can be collected.

Please note:
Please leave enough time for items to be ordered and made available before checking.

  • E-books can normally become available within 7 days.
  • Print books can take up to 6 weeks.
