Copyright for Creating Commercial Courses

Guidance for staff involved in designing and building courses with a commercial purpose, such as corporate education and training.

Performers' rights/Data protection

Do not use audio or video recordings of lectures, seminars or other sessions (such as Recap/Zoom/Teams recordings)
which capture individuals' contributions, other than your own, unless you know that they have consented, in an express and informed way, to being recorded and for that recording to be shared as you intend.

You can find out more about consent and data protection in relation to the use of recordings in the University's Intellectual Property Policy. See the part called 'Ownership' and, in particular, the section on 'Lecture Capture'. If, after reading the policy, you have any further questions on this, please email the Legal Services Office at legalservices@exeter.ac.uk
