Let's Walk!

During February, a team of Library colleagues are taking part in the Active Devon, Let's Walk challenge.  Plodding along as the Library Sole Mates team, we'll be hoping to get lots of miles in!

The Let’s Walk campaign is all about how little changes make a big difference to you, your business and the world around us.

The campaign aims to get:

  • People at work thinking about their health and the power of walking, then walking more to work, in work and at weekends
  • People at work engaging more with their community and environment by walking more
  • Businesses to support a walk-friendly culture and show commitment and leadership towards a more sustainable future.

We've started arranging walking meetings for some of our library meetings, so you may see us striding out around campus as we catch up on activities or brainstorm ideas for new projects.

A number of other University of Exeter teams are also taking place, so why not join in with one of the teams and plod out some steps for health, wellbeing and the environment!

Find out all about the challenge and discover which teams are taking part - and how they are doing here.

As of 4th February, the Library Sole Mates were in 95th position and by the 11th February had climbed up to to 18th position.  We'll pop back with some more updates during the month to let you know how we are doing.
