Adding Footnotes In Word

 

To add a footnote in Microsoft Word:

1.Click where you want to add the footnote
2.Select the References tab
3.Select Insert Footnote
4.Word will insert a reference mark in the text and add the footnote mark at the bottom of the page
5.Type the footnote text for your source using the OSCOLA style

Cross-Referencing Footnotes In Word

Have you ever needed to insert additional footnotes in Word and then noticed all your cross references to earlier notes need updating?
