SPA: Finding and using library resources for assignments: Introduction

Online support to help you build your library research skills

As part of your studies you will have various tasks and assignments that require you to work with the library resources. It is easy to be overwhelmed by the sheer breadth of information available, and waste time if you look in the wrong place.

Before you start, you should consider three key questions:

  1. What sort of information do I need?
  2. Where should I look for information?
  3. How can I search effectively so that I find relevant materials for my research topic?

This tutorial will help you answer these questions. Work through each section using the tabs above, and complete the activities as you go.
