Drama: Finding & using library resources: Planning your search strategy

Once you have chosen your research topic for this module, you can start planning your research strategy.

Investing time up front to plan out a library research strategy will help you in the long-run.  It is easy to be overwhelmed by the sheer breadth of information available, and you can also waste time if you look in the wrong place.

Before you start, consider three key questions:

  1. What sort of information do I need?
  2. Where can I find the resources that are the most appropriate?
  3. How can I search effectively so that I find relevant materials for my research topic?
