Printing, copying, scanning

Printing copying and scanning guides

Do you really need to print?

Every sheet you print has an environmental impact, only print when you have no other option. We have committed to a goal as part of our Green Restart proposals to a 95% reduction in non-essential printing.

There are some changes to printing arrangements. Some printers may have been disconnected due to social distancing, for example if they are in narrow corridors or are placed close together. Printers are a high frequency touch point and so you should sanitise your hands before and after using the printer. The nature of the printers means it is not possible to spray cleaning product directly onto the screens and touchpoints. There are reminders on and around the printing areas.

The number of study computers on campus has reduced but you will be able to send print jobs to the printers from your own devices. You can find out how to do this HERE as well as information about alternatives to scanning.
