Visitors guide to the Library

Local teachers may be allowed to borrow books from the education collection at St Luke's Library. This is a reciprocal arrangement between the University and those organisations which take St Luke's Education students on teaching placements. Print material can be borrowed under the following conditions:

• The scheme is available to teachers in state schools in Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset, evidence of current teaching position must be provided
• 4 items may be borrowed at one time
• Loan periods is 18 weeks however any item may be recalled and the loan period reduced to 7 days
• Use St Luke's library during staffed hours between
  • 10am-4pm Monday - Friday
• Use Forum library during staffed hours between
  • 9am-6pm Monday - Friday
  • 10am-6pm Saturday - Sunday

There is walk in access for electronic resources at Forum library only.

If you are eligible for the local teachers scheme, please email library@exeter.ac.uk with proof of your current teaching position (e.g. a recent payslip).  We will be in touch with additional information.
