Reading Lists: A Guide for Students: Articles and Chapters for Research Groups

A guide to using your online reading list.

Introduction

As a Research Group you may find you need to read articles and chapters that the Library does not already have access to.

While you would normally use our Document Delivery Service to obtain articles and chapters we do not already own, due to copyright restrictions Document Delivery is only suitable for individual use.

Instead, to provide a group of people with access to the same text we use EHESS (Enhanced Higher Education Supply Service), a British Library service. We purchase a copyright-fee paid copy which can be shared between your group.

Current Issues at British Library

As you may be aware the British Library has suffered a Cyber Attack and is currently unable to offer many services including EHESS which means we cannot use this service to supply articles and chapters for groups until this is available again.  The latest information from the British Library about the attack and their services is available here: https://blogs.bl.uk/living-knowledge/2023/11/cyber-incident.html

We do however have an alternative service we can use so we are still able to supply articles and chapter scans for Research Groups so please do submit these to us.
