Borrowing

University of Exeter students & staff may borrow 50 items in total

All loans are subject to recall - reducing the period to one week

Loan periods for print material:

  • Staff & postgraduate research (PGR) loans are for 1 year
  • Taught students (UG, PGT and INTO) loans are for 18 weeks
  • Honorary & associate category loans are for 18 weeks
  • At Penryn books are loaned for 1 week with automatic renewals

Loan periods for audio visual material:

  • At Exeter Students and staff may borrow up to 4 DVDs for 7 days
  • At Penryn DVDs are loaned for 1 week with automatic renewals
  • Staff and postgraduates may borrow up to 4 Videos (VHS) for 7 days

All loans are subject to recall.

Online Library Record

Login to your Library Record using IT username and password 

Cornwall based University of Exeter students can check their Penryn library account here: Library record

You can view requests (holds), check outs, reading history, fines/fees, ILLs and preferred searches

  • If an item has been recalled you will see the new due date
  • You can pay library fines online.
  • Reading history is useful for referencing purposes, you can switch this setting off by choosing the Opt Out option

View your library account via

  • Library home page - Under Access, click My library account
  • Library Search - Click on ‘My account’ at the top right of the page
  • iExeter app -  Click on ‘Library’ and then ‘My Library account’
