New system of due dates and auto-renewals

From mid July 2023 all loans are for one week but will auto-renew.  Loans made prior to mid July 2023 will retain their original due date, but once this has passed they will become one-week loans which will auto-renew.

Borrowing limits

University of Exeter students, staff and associates may borrow 50 items in total

Visitors with borrowing accounts can borrow 4 items in total.

Recalls

All loans are subject to recall - reducing the period to one week.  Please return recalled items as quickly as posssible or email library@exeter.ac.uk if this will be a problem.

Loan periods

Loan periods for print material made before mid July 2023:

• Staff & postgraduate research (PGR) loans were for 1 year
• Taught students (UG, PGT and INTO) loans were for 18 weeks
• Honorary & associate category loans were for 18 weeks
• At Penryn books are loaned for 1 week with automatic renewals

Loan periods for audio visual materia made before mid July 2023:

• At Exeter Students and staff DVD loans were for 7 days
• At Penryn DVDs are loaned for 1 week with automatic renewals
• Staff and postgraduates Video (VHS) loans were for 7 days
