Accessing and Using Study Spaces

Information on study space arrangements currently in place to accommodate Covid-secure study

Easter opening hours - confirmed

The following study spaces will remain open throughout the Easter holidays:

  • Forum Library
  • Study Zone
  • The Loft
  • The Sanctuary
  • DH1
  • DH2
  • The Terrace

 

The following study spaces will be closed Friday 2 April - Monday 5 April but will then be open as usual from Tuesday 6 April:

  • Building One
  • Cross Keys
  • Forum Marquee
  • Giraffe House
  • Great Hall
  • Old Library
  • St Luke's (Haighton) library
  • Xfi

 

All other study spaces are due to be closed during the Easter holidays but demand will be regularly reviewed by the Study Spaces Group.

Re-opens  Tue 6 Apr

Open M-F as a café. Outside of this, there are 32 spaces which can be used for studying.  You must register your location using the QR codes. Cold food  and drinks with lids allowed.
*Devonshire House 2 6G on map *Comida café, DH1 (ground floor) 08:00 - 19:00 Remains open *Open 7 days a week. M-F open as a café. Outside of this, there are 30 spaces which can be used for studying.  You must register your location using the QR codes. Cold food  and drinks with lids allowed. 
*Devonshire House 2 6G on map *DH2 (first floor) 08:00 - 19:00 Remains open

*Open 7 days a week. A mix of 26 desks.  With the very large desks, you may find that you are sharing with one other person. Most of the desks have power sockets. You must register your location using the QR codes. Cold food  and drinks with lids allowed. 

Devonshire House 2 6G on map The Terrace café (first floor) 08:00 - 19:00 Remains open Open M-F as a café. Outside of this, the space is used for studying.  You must register your location using the QR codes.
Forum Seminar rooms Forum 08:00 - 21:00 Remains open Open 7 days a week during revision period.  Access via Forum library Level 0 and Level +1.
Great Hall 1 6G on map Great Hall 08:00 - 19:00

Closed Easter weekend.   Re-opens  Tue 6 Apr

Open M-F, a mix of 115 small or large study desks with Perspex screens. You can eat in this space. Please note: there are no power sockets. You must register your location using the QR codes.  Cold food  and drinks with lids allowed.

Outdoor Marquee (Streatham campus) Forum north piazza 08:00 - 17:30 Closed Easter weekend.   Re-opens Tue 6 Apr Re-opened Open M-F, heated marquees used as an informal drop in space whilst you are on campus. You will find tables and chairs. You must register your location using the QR codes.  Cold food  and drinks with lids allowed.

Washington Singer 9 8E on map Near the Hub (ground floor) 08:00 - 19:00 Closed for Easter holidays Open M-F, an open area which has kitchen facilities, and 4 study desks.  You must register your location using the QR codes.  Cold food  and drinks with lids allowed.
