Accessing and Using Study Spaces

Information on study space arrangements currently in place to accommodate Covid-secure study

Known problem

Students report getting the error message below when making bookings.  Please note that in most instances the booking has been made.  Please wait for 5 minutes after receiving the error, then check your email to confirm if the booking is complete

This error is related to the performance capacity of the current booking system.  If you do not get email confirmation of the booking, please wait and try later.

Booking limits (Exeter only) - You are able to book up to 5 sessions a week in advance.  This is in place initially to help everyone who needs a study space on campus to be able to access spaces.  If you have hit your limit , you can still use the drop in study spaces

Track & trace - Bookings will support the University Track & Trace for COVID-19.

Power -  You will be able to request a study space which has a power socket using system filters

Group study - Group study spaces are not available due to Covid-19.

Booking timings (Exeter only) - 8:00 – 11:30; 12:00 – 15:30; 16:00 – 19:00 (or 19:30)

Booking step by step - Exeter

  1. Enter your university username and password to access the system
  2. If the system is busy you may be put in a queue to access the system
  3. All study spaces are for one person currently
  4. You can select which building you wish to study in from the drop down box
  5. Choose from the resources box if you have any particular requirements
  6. Select the date you are looking for
  7. Select what session start time you would prefer – all sessions are currently 3/5 hours
  8. Choose a study space from the list – these are all the available desks in that space
  9. If there are no spaces available you can click back to change your preferences
  10. Once you have selected press ‘next’ to review and confirm your booking
  11. You will receive a confirmation email of your booking, if you are booking at night this may be delayed until the morning but your space is booked.

Review or cancel your booking - Exeter

  1. Sign into the booking system for the area you have booked
  2. Click on ‘my bookings’ at the bottom of the page
  3. Your bookings and location details will be displayed
  4. You cannot cancel a booking which has already begun.
  5. If you wish to cancel a booking in the future, you can click on the ‘cancel’ button
